page#2 paragraph#2
She smiles. She has a pretty smile---her face opens up around it and her dark eyes dance. [.....] She is brown---all-over brown---hair, eyes, skin. So brown the youngest daughter used to say, "I can eat you like a chocolate bar, Ma," which made mother laugh. Her mother's brown reminds her of everything she loves: Chocolate. Dark wool. The smell of the earth. Trees.

From this passage it is obvious for me to see that these girls love their mother and find her beautiful. The way they describe her to be so wonderful in all her feature. Not just in personality but also fiscal appearance. The daughters loved her and so did everyone else who knew her (and even though her husband wasnt mentioned in this paragraph i am sure he feels the same way if not more). She was very popular in that sense. Her daughters felt their world revolved around there mother since their mother was pretty much everything to them. She reminded them of everything that was sweet and meaningful.
Did you guys think that the mother was described as a beautiful person?
